WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E has been on a great run as the champion on Friday Night Smackdown. For the past few weeks, Big E has been very vocal about returning Superstars and NXT call-ups getting too much focus from WWE Creative. Big E also mentioned recently that he doubts he’ll get to main event Wrestlemania due to the part-timers being given priority.
While speaking to Busted Open Radio, Big E talked about what he needs in order to get a WrestleMania main event spot. Big E said that he needs fan investment to to achieve his goal.
“In our business, the fans are the barometer. They tell you immediately if something is good or something is bad. So, I can go out all day and think, ‘Man, I’m killing it’, but if I’m in front of 10,000 people and it’s crickets, then what I’m doing doesn’t mean much. That’s kind of the biggest adjustment, is really try to determine how well is this working. As we all know, Twitter and that online feedback can be very different…”
The company has already confirmed they will bring in a live audience for the Show of Shows. We will have to see if Big E can win the Royal Rumble before that.
