Larry King passed away at the age of 87-years-old after being hospitalized for COVID-19. He hosted Larry King Live for 25 years and had plenty of pro wrestlers on his show. He was a friend of the pro wrestling community, and King will be greatly missed.

WWE posted an article on the legendary broadcaster’s passing. In that article, they included a quote from Larry King about pro wrestlers that he once gave while speaking with Sports Illustrated.

“They are incredible athletes, their fan following is amazing, but their results are never in the paper… To me, if someone is interesting, then I am curious. And wrestlers—and wrestling—are interesting.”

The pro wrestling world reacted in sadness when news of Larry King’s passing hit. This was not a happy announcement for anyone to hear on a Saturday morning. Our thoughts are with King’s family and friends during this sad and tragic time.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
