WWE doesn’t want their Superstars working indie events, and they had to pull Cora Jade from a big upcoming intergender match.

Cora Jade was pulled from her upcoming GCW match against AEW star Joey Janela at Fight Forever. She made this announcement via Twitter, but she didn’t seem too happy about having to let people know this match isn’t happening.

Jade said that “some things kinda came up,” that was in reference to her signing with WWE.

So sorry to all the fans @GCWrestling_ & @JANELABABY for not being able to make the show. Some things kinda came up

BUT it’s still gonna be a sick show so please watch and continue to donate if possible!

Jade was formerly known as Elayna Black on the indies. She had a witch gimmick, but it’s unknown how NXT will package her. It might have been fun to watch Cora Jade work her magic against Joey Janela, but it wasn’t meant to be.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
