Roman Reigns returned to WWE and he quickly became the Head of the Table. This new moniker was more than a way to sell a ton of merchandise. He also lives by that persona.

He is treated differently by WWE management, and for good reason. His segments remain a focal point of SmackDown’s weekly show.

While speaking to Bleacher Report, Roman Reigns discussed his creative direction and how his promos come to him as well.

“I try not to be too detailed. I just need to know what I’m supposed to feel out there and what I’m supposed to connect to and then I have to naturally let it happen. If I’m thinking about lines and trying to memorize stuff, it’s stressful to me. It’s never worked for me that way.”

“But I’m thinking about what I’m supposed to be emotionally feeling and put myself in a real scenario of, ‘OK, you’re this guy right now. This is what you’d be feeling and this is what you’re trying to achieve. What’s the message? What am I trying to get across? What am I trying to get the audience to understand?’ It just came to me.”

Roman Reigns was able to take that new moniker and make a lot of noise in a short amount of time. His union with Paul Heyman will also undoubtedly see him remain at the head of the table for as long as he likes.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
