Jay White said he was quitting NJPW after New Year’s Dash, and NJPW is really playing up that angle. Switchblade is no longer listed as an active performer on their website.

Sometime in the past 24 hours, New Japan Pro Wrestling removed Jay White’s profile from their active roster page. This is a very interesting move on their part, but it’s likely that they are just playing up an angle.

Jay White told the Young Bucks in 2018 that he had just signed a seven-year deal with NJPW. We haven’t heard anything official about NJPW releasing Jay White, so he likely has about five years left on his deal.

There is reported interest within WWE, and some people putting in good word for him to get signed. It’s unlikely he’ll land in AEW right now. We will continue monitoring this ongoing situation.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
