Brodie Lee passed away due to a lung ailment that was not COVID-19. They made sure that COVD-19 was not the issue for the AEW star.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that he was told Brodie Lee was tested for COVID-19 many times while he was in the hospital. As we previously reported, Lee was in the hospital for months prior to his passing.

“Obviously when he was wrestling he was tested [for COVID-19] before every show, that’s a given, but I was told he was tested many times while he was in the hospital. Legitimately that can be ruled out.”

It was said that “his lungs stopped working, I don’t know why, but they stopped working.” It was not COVID-19 related.

Our thoughts go out to Brodie Lee’s family at this time. They lost an incredibly good man. In 2020, people automatically think about COVID-19 whenever someone has a lung ailment. It was not COVID-19 in this situation, and they know that for a fact.
