Vince McMahon Apparently Wanted To Buy Playboy

Vince McMahon is known to be larger than life and there have been several absurd stories about him over the years. This includes an instance where he almost killed an ex WWE referee.

On a recent episode of his 83 Weeks Podcast, Eric Bischoff talked about a variety of topics. During the podcast, he also had an interesting story to tell about Vince McMahon.

Bischoff mentioned how he once got Joe Francis to meet up with Vince McMahon in the early 2000s. For those who do not know, Francis is the founder of Girls Gone Wild. Francis also made an appearance on WWE, where he invited Torrie Wilson to a Girls Gone Wild event.

Bischoff mentioned that McMahon and Francis showed interest in buying Playboy for different reasons, which is why he set up a meeting between the two.

“I hooked up Joe Francis and WWE to do a show / pay-per-view.” “I set up a meeting with Joe Francis and Linda McMahon because Vince [McMahon] was interested in buying Playboy and Joe Francis was also interested in buying Playboy for different reasons so they both had different goals. They were both interested in the same property so I got those two together and Linda had a meeting with Joe in Los Angeles because of me.”
