Chris Benoit Was “An Angel” According To Former WCW Star

Chris Benoit’s death and the events surrounding it left a stain on the pro wrestling world that will never go away. It was a tragedy that also caused WWE to wipe The Wolverine from their history books. According to Ice Train, Benoit was an angel.

While speaking to UnSKripted Live Q&A, former WCW wrestler Ice Train said that the Chris Benoit he knew was “an angel.” He knows the terrible circumstances around Benoit’s death as he murdered his wife and child, but Ice Train had no idea what happened to cause a change in the Benoit he knew.

“Man, I understand what happened, but I’ll tell you again. I love Chris Benoit. I am so sorry for the breakdown or whatever happened. But the guy I knew, he was just an angel. I have no idea what happened. I feel bad for all three parties – the baby, the wife, and the families.”

“But the Chris Benoit I knew, man, that was an awesome guy. I don’t know what happened that night, and I can only express the pain and sadness from all members of wrestling and the pro family. Man, the Benoit I knew was just a good guy. I don’t know what happened to this day.”

Chris Benoit’s story has been well documented. Dark Side Of The Ring highlighted the tragic case, but a movie will not be happening. David Benoit, Chris’ son, said that the family took care of any potential bio pic about his family father with some legal action.
