The Young Bucks signed with AEW, but WWE really didn’t want them to. Triple H made multiple offers to secure Nick and Matt Jackson’s services prior to them taking Executive Vice President positions with All Elite Wrestling.

While speaking to Fightful, The Young Bucks revealed that Triple H made them “four or five different offers.” They obviously turned them all down, but WWE really wanted to get The Young Bucks under contract.

Matt Jackson revealed that he was “constantly thinking that the contract talks were over,” but then WWE would schedule another meeting with them. This seemed to be a back-and-forth trend for WWE and the Young Bucks for a while.

The Young Bucks put Triple H over for “being charming and really good at his job.” Obviously, Triple H’s charm and aptitude to perform his job didn’t convince them to come aboard.

It was reported at the time that WWE offered the Young Bucks huge contracts with out clauses at around 10 months. Those out clauses would have been useful, but if the signed with WWE it would have very likely set AEW back, possibly endangering the idea from ever coming to reality.
