Riddle is one of the top stars on Monday Night RAW and his in-ring prowess is one of the best in the company. Vince McMahon is also high on him. However, it seems a WCW legend believes Riddle could improve his in-ring work.

Former WCW Star Disco Inferno spoke on the UnSKripted podcast, where he revealed that he wants to train Riddle.

Inferno explained how Riddle should change his wrestling style. He thinks that Riddle needs to change up his move set and incorporate a more shoot-oriented style of wrestling. Inferno said that if Riddle makes that change, then he will see great improvement as a wrestler.

“Riddle. Matt Riddle, because he’s very popular. When I train people I like shooter style stuff. I’ve trained Karrion Kross, I train guys to throw good strikes. The thing Riddle is missing is that he does not throw like a shoot fighter. He’s throwing the fake/working wrestling punches. If he tightened up that part of his work his persona would equal his character.”

He then explained why Riddle lost all the hype he had when he started out in WWE. Inferno revealed the reason was Riddle’s goofy character on WWE RAW.

“He was interesting when he was shooting on people in YouTube videos and on Twitter. That guy, they’ve brought him up here and now he’s like a goofy baby face. The hype lost it’s trail. He wrestle’s like a badass out there with his grappling and stuff. If he threw better strikes he’d look like a killer out there.”

We will have to see what is next in store for Riddle in WWE.
