Matt Jackson revealed on the Living The Gimmick podcast’s Patreon account that Sting’s debut was a secret that they held onto for a very long time. It was difficult to keep such a secret, and he couldn’t wait for the world to know that Sting is All Elite.

“This is something that we’ve been sitting on for a little while and it was just one of those things where it’s a secret and you’re living with it. It’s like ‘can we just do it so people can see it?'”
