Kenny Omega’s services are desired all over the planet and he has a huge match booked for December 12th outside of the United States..

Omega is the AAA Mega Champion, but that title hasn’t done him much good during the pandemic. He’s held that title for 403 days and counting, making himself #5 in the longest reigns list for that title with only 3 defenses.

Much like Jon Moxley, The Cleaner holds a title with a company he cannot defend due to the pandemic, but unlike Moxley, Omega will defend his AAA Title at TripleMania. Moxley is IWGP United States champion with no current plan to work Wrestle Kingdom.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that as of this weekend, the plan was still on for Omega to make a trip to Mexico on December 12th.

“One of the matches scheduled for TripleMania is Kenny Omega defending the AAA Championship against Laredo Kid. Obviously for every reason in the world you wonder about it. I just want to let everyone know that as of this afternoon that match is going to happen, it’s scheduled to happen on December 12th, so he is going to Mexico.”

We’ll have to see if Omega can retain the AAA Mega Championship at TripleMania. His responsibilities with AEW are much different from when he won it in October last year.
