WWE Considering Crowning Unlikely Tag Team Champions

WWE has a lot of things that they need to figure out before TLC. The card is still very much a work in progress with only one match in stone. That is also a match that seems impossible after Braun Strowman’s recent suspension.

Lana and Asuka formed an alliance this week on RAW. This saw them take down WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Their storyline is very likely to continue.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Lana and Asuka’s win over the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions will likely set up a future tag team title match. It was said that match could take place at TLC.

There don’t seem to be any opponents for Asuka. She was very ready to accept any challenger, even jumping at the chance to wrestle Lana. Asuka also needs a win after Sasha Banks defeated her at Survivor Series.

If this storyline goes in the direction that some are projecting, Lana could get a title run and Asuka will become Empress Two Belts for a while as well.
