WWE is always looking to lock down names so nobody else can use them outside of the company. Two NXT Superstars recently received that trademark treatment.

The company registered trademarks for Joe Gacy and Curt Stallion on November 13th according to Heel By Nature. This filing was under the entertainment services classification with the USPTO.

These names are now registered under the classification of “wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio.” This is the standard filing for this type of registration.

We’ll have to see what’s next for Gacy and Stallion in WWE, but the company wanted to make sure they had those names locked down in a hurry.
