The Young Bucks were able to capture the AEW World Tag Team Titles at Full Gear. They had one more shot to win the gold as they put it all on the line, promising to never compete for those titles again if they lost. After the match, they were very pleased with their performance.

Following the Full Gear pay-per-view, the Young Bucks took part in a media session. They were asked what this title win means to them in a company they helped create.

“It was surreal. All of the other titles, they were huge — the IWGP Jr Tag Titles I think we won those 7 times. I think we were PWG champions 3 or 4 times, ROH Champions 3 or 4 times. This was just everything for me. This was like winning the Super Bowl.”

Matt Jackson went on to say that “AEW is our baby.” Nick also discussed their losing streak in AEW, and how climbing that hill to the titles made them so happy.

AEW told a story that the Young Bucks couldn’t pull off the big win, and Matt Jackson said a lot of that was reflective of their own lives. He said “maybe we weren’t selling the merch that we once were, maybe fans aren’t seeing us have the matches they’re used to us having,” and they made it through everything to become champions.
