Welcome one and all to Ringside News’ live results for AEW Dynamite on November 4th, 2020.

Tonight’s show is the last before AEW Full Gear, and to mark the occasion none other than Chris Jericho will be on commentary. And Y2J’s loyalty will be tested tonight as Sammy Guevara and Ortiz team-up to face Wardlow and MJF, the latter of whom is looking to join The Inner Circle. Jericho will face MJF at Full Gear if he can get throught tonight.

Cody will team with The Gunn Club tonight to take on Preston Vance, John Silver, and Colt Cabana of Dark Order, meanwhile Miro takes on Trent for destroying his arcade cabinet, and Nyla Rose battles Red Velvet to shake off the rust before her title match at Full Gear. We were supposed to see Scorpio Sky facing Shawn Spears tonight but that match has been put aside due to Sky having contact with COVID-19.

Beyond that we know that Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley will be in the same ring ahead of their huge AEW World Title match on Saturday night. We have little doubt this will end badly. And that’s the preview for tonight’s AEW Dynamite. Stay tuned for full coverage right here from 7 PM EST. Enjoy the show!

Dynamite

This week’s Dynamite opens with Dasha Gonzalez backstage with Jericho, Jake Hager, and Santana. Jericho starts by congratulating Jake on his big win in Bellator last week and he has the scars to show for it. MJF and Wardlow walk up and MJF says he feels like they didn’t hit it off last week but tonight he will prove he belongs in The Inner Circle. Jericho says he doesn’t think MJF has the thing that he, Hager, and Santana have, and that’s killer instinct and grit. He calls MJF soft and that pisses him off.

MJF & Wardlow Vs. Sammy Guevara & Ortiz

The match gets underway with MJF and Sammy Guevara but MJF immediately tags out. Wardlow throws Ortiz to the corner but he ducks the big man and hits a dropkick to his knee. Ortiz lands some kicks but Wardlow blocks one and hits a one-handed spinebuster. MJF tags in and looks for a knee drop but Ortiz dodges and rakes the back. Ortiz hits the ropes but Wardlow hits him and MJF takes advantage by stomping him down in the corner.

Wardlow tags in and he continues the beatdown in the corner. Ortiz punches his way out of the corner and jumps for a tag but Wardlow catches him and rams him back down into the corner. MJF tags in and slams Ortiz down by the face, then taunts Sammy on the apron. Ortiz kicks MJF and elbows Wardlow, then runs for a tag but MJF flips him back-first into the buckles. MJF takes a wristlock and tags Wardlow, who shoulder blocks Ortiz a few times.

Ortiz hits an enziguiri and tags Sammy, who connects with a few running kicks to Wardlow. MJF tags in but Sammy connects with a knee, then takes both him and Wardlow down with a springboard crossbody. Both roll from the ring and Sammy hits both with dives through the ropes. Sammy gets inside with MJF and hits a kick to the back for a two-count. Sammy is tossed outside and MJF hits Ortiz with a stomp to the arm. MJF whips Ortiz at Wardlow but he clotheslines the big man over the ropes to the floor.

Sammy and MJF are left in the ring and they trade flips until MJF pokes him in the eye, but Sammy hits a leaping knee. Sammy hits a reverse GTS for a near-fall, then he and Ortiz drop Wardlow, then take MJF to the top rope. Wardlow comes back for a Tower of Doom spot, then he drags MJF to their corner and tags himself in. Wardlow lifts Ortiz for an F10 but Sammy splashes him from the top to break the pin. Sammy throws MJF out and dives at him, then gives the finger to a “fan”. The fan throws a chair at Sammy and it’s revealed to be Matt Hardy. MJF gets Ortiz in the Salt of the Earth for the win.

Winners: MJF & Wardlow

After the match MJF and Wardlow make their way up the ramp but MJF suddenly runs and tackles Jericho through a panel. He beats on Le Champion until he’s pulled off by Jake Hager.

Tony Schiavone is shown sitting with Kenny Omega in his home earlier today. Kenny tells him it isn’t his normal home, he’s relocated to Jackson too focus entirely on the Full Gear match with Hangman. Omega talks about how the wins and losses matter and that Tony Khan is a sports man. He says he could have asked for a by but he wanted to compete. He’s surprised Page made it to the final but surely he’s the favourite, given his pedigree.

Still to come, the Young Bucks Vs. Private Party, Nyla Rose Vs. Red Velvet, Miro Vs. Trent, and PAC will break his silence.

Miro W/Kip Sabian & Penelope Ford Vs. Trent W/Orange Cassidy & Chuck Taylor

The match starts with a staredown and some pushing. Trent strikes first with a shotgun dropkick, then punches Miro into the corner. He attempts a tornado DDT but Miro throws him off. Miro pulls Trent off the top rope with a snap back suplex, then drops repeated elbows on him. Miro stomps Trent down in the corner as Kip talks trash to him.

Trent tries to fight back but gets dropped with a back elbow, and Miro then chokes him on the middle rope. The camera cuts to ringside as Chuck is beating Kip and they brawl to the backstage. Meanwhile in the ring, Miro hits Trent with a running splash in the corner, then whips him hard into the buckles. Trent dodges Miro, kicks him, then attempts the tornado DDT but again gets blocked and thrown. Miro throws Trent into the ring post and through the ropes.

*Commercial Break*

Back live and Miro hits Trent with a powerbomb then does a little taunt. During the break Penelope slapped Orange Cassidy, then Dark Order attacked him. Miro catches Trent with a bear hug and holds him there. Trent fights free and clobbers Miro with a few lariats but he no-sells them. Trent dodges Miro and drops him with a lariat for a near-fall. Trent drills Miro with forearms and chops but Miro fires back and drops him.

Miro kicks Trent in the face until he gets angry and they trade shots. Trent hits a snap dragon suplex, then jumps at him but gets caught and slammed. Trent dodges the Matcha Kick and rolls Miro up for two, then sends him out of the ring. Trent hits a tope to Miro on the floor but the big man gets up first. Back in the ring, Trent finally hits the tornado DDT, followed by a running knee for a near-fall. Trent attempts a springboard but slips and then Miro kicks him and applies the camel clutch for the win.

Winner: Miro

Miro reapplies the camel clutch after the bell and out comes Chuck to beat him down. Kip runs out and kicks Chuck, then tosses him out of the ring. Miro grabs the microphone and starts insulting Best Friends but Orange Cassidy comes from behind and hits the Orange drop off the top rope.

Jim Ross is sitting down with Hangman Page and he asks him about the match with Omega. Page is tipsy and says he’s feeling great, and he’s had time to prepare because he always knew this would be the final. Page says he knows all of Omega’s moves and knows how to reverse them. JR says he thinks he’s nervous because he’s drinking to hide it. Page says he is and that he isn’t afraid to admit it. Nobody believed he would be AEW Champion but him, and they were right. And if he doesn’t win on Saturday, he doesn’t know what he has.

*Commercial Break*

TAZ comes out with Brian Cage and Ricky Starks. TAZ says for three hours he sat outside Tony Khan’s office trying to get two minutes of time, only for some guy to say “TK” is busy. TAZ says Tony has forced his hand, so he’s out here now. TAZ says AEW has a ranking system that he believes in, but both his guys are 10-1 and Starks isn’t even ranked.

Starks says he has open and closed Dynamite and proven why they call him absolute Ricky Starks, which is why he can’t understand why he isn’t ranked. He asks why they don’t have a match at Full Gear and TAZ says he doesn’t know. TAZ says Cody and Darby Allin are similar in that they get handed opportunities. TAZ takes aim at Cody and that he says “do the work”, well he and his boys have done the work and now they’re getting worked. He guarantees they will have a presence at Full Gear.

Private Party come out alongside Matt Hardy and on their way to the ring Matt is attacked by Sammy Guevara. He hits a Twist of Fate to Matt and high-tails it.

*Commercial Break*

Young Bucks Vs. Private Party

We start with Marc Quen and Nick Jackson. They trade quick flips and Nick hits a springboard arm-drag, followed by a regular arm-drag and a tag to Matt. Nick tags back in instantly alongside Isiah Kassidy, and drops him before tagging Matt again. They hit PP with a double suplex and double dropkicks. The Bucks then dive over the ropes onto Kassidy and Quen and Matt sells the ankle.

Back inside Kassidy counters Matt and Quen kicks him before tagging in with a springboard crossbody. Nick tags in but Private Party hit him with an atomic drop, enziguiri, and then hip-toss Matt onto Nick. The Bucks roll out either side and Private Party hit suicide dives to both of them. Kassidy and Quen get Nick inside and look to hit stereo splashes but Matt shoves Kassidy off the top rope.

Nick hits a kick to the gut of Quen, followed by a running knee and a bulldog. The Bucks hit a rope-assisted swanton bomb but Kassidy breaks the pin attempt. Nick knocks Kassidy frm the rope and hits a cannonball to him on the floor. The Bucks then look for a Meltzer Driver but Quen catches them both as we head to the break.

*Commercial Break*

Back live and the Bucks try to double team Quen but he hits them with a double hurricanrana. Kassidy tags in and drops both Bucks with forearms. He hits a float-over Stunner that sends Nick from the ring and both Bucks stand waiting for him to hit a spinning tope to them on the floor. Quen and Kassidy hit a double team splash to Nick for a near-fall.

Nick looks to make a tag but Matt’s ankles too sore, so he goes it alone. Nick gets caught with a hurricanrana into a cutter but Matt breaks the pin. Quen attempts a shooting star press but nobody’s home and Matt hits a spear. Nick rolls him up for a near-fall, then the Bucks look for the Meltzer Driver but Kassidy grabs Nick on the apron, while Matt and Quen trade pin attempts. Nick hits a superkick to Quen and tags Matt so they can hit BTE for the win.

Winners: Young Bucks

The Bucks celebrate after the match but FTR come out and attack them from behind. They hit The Midnight Express to Matt, then look to stomp the ankle with a chair again but Hangman Page and Kenny Omega come running down to make the save. Kenny offers Hangman a fist bump and he accepts, but then they exchange words.

*Commercial Break*

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and he introduces Eddie Kingston, followed by Jon Moxley – this face-to-face is not allowed to get physical. Kingston tries to bate Moxley into attacking him right away and tells Schiavone to get out of the ring.

Kingston goes nose-to-nose with Moxley and tells him this is no game. He says he’s going to batter him and take that title home to his mother to explain to her this is why she doesn’t have a daughter-in-law, or grandchildren. Because that title is the reason why they’re in the business and he will take that title from him to prove that it’s been worth all the sacrifice.

Moxley takes the microphone and says you have to be careful who you call your friends. He says loyalty is a bitch but he never thought he would get burned by Kingston. He says he was so happy for him when he signed to AEW and Kingston calls BS on him. Moxley says he was happy for Kingston’s mother, who he made a promise to that he would always have Eddie’s back. Well he broke that promise, didn’t he?

Moxley says the loudest man in the room is the weakest and Eddie is really loud lately. He knows Kingston isn’t weak, so what’s going on? It’s been 18 years and he’s only got one chance, and it’s against the best wrestler on the planet. Kingston knows he’s going to lose and he’ll realise it’s been 18 years for nothing. And the thing that makes his stomach churn is that Kingston made a promise to his mother, a promise that he can’t keep.

They butt heads and Kingston tells Jon he’ll have to kill himself because this is real. Kingston leaves and Moxley says this Saturday Kingston will find that he is alone, that he is not the man he thought he was, and that he will say “I quit”. The announcers talk about how great that segment was and the match will main event Full Gear on Saturday night.

We see a video of PAC sitting in a dark room alone, then on a beech alone. Multiple versions of PAC appear in the room with him and he says the funny thing about isolation is that you have nobody play with. He says he’s been isolated, lost, and abandoned on the other side of the world. But he’s been there before and he gets faster, stronger, better, and more obsessed.

*Commercial Break*

Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall start an interview backstage but The Bunny appears, then Butcher and Blade attack them from behind. They beat them down with weapons.

Nyla Rose W/Vickie Guerrero Vs. Red Velvet W/Brandi Rhodes

The bell rings and Velvet hits Nyla with a dropkick, then beats her into the corner and chokes her with her boot. Nyla clobbers Velvet, then stands on her. Nyla lifts Velvet by the face and puts her in the corner for repeated shots, followed by a big lariat that knocks her out of her boots.

Rose stares at Shida before lifting Velvet, who slides off and kicks her. Velvet attempts a hurricanrana but Rose holds her up and hits a powerbomb and goes for the pin but stops it herself. Rose then mocks Shida with a bow, and hits Velvet with a running knee for the win.

Winner: Nyla Rose

Vickie gets on the microphone and says it’s sad that Velvet came out here with Brandi Rhodes but she still can’t win. She thinks it’s time Brandi gets a new name, CBO, Chief Bull$hit Officer. Vickie then walks around to Shida and says Tony Khan has finally started listening to her, and that’s why Nyla has a match against Shida on Saturday. She says Nyla will break Shida’s bones and takes her title, then mocks her. Shida attacks Vickie but Nyla intervenes until a referee pulls them apart.

We get a lengthy video package chronicling the entire Hangman Page/Kenny Omega team/rivalry, with soundbites from JR, Schiavone, and more. The announcers then run down the entire card for Full Gear.

Darby Allin has a video of him hitting a guy dressed as Cody with a car. Darby is then shown in the stands watching the main event, which is up next.

*Commercial Break*

Cody & Gunn Club Vs. Dark Order

The main event starts with Cody and John Silver, and Silver takes a headlock but gets shot off and tries to drop Cody with a shoulder but he doesn’t budge. Silver slaps Cody, so Rhodes hits him with a torture rack drop and makes a tag to Austin Gunn. Silver takes Gunn to the corner and beats on him but Gunn comes back and drops him before hitting a facebuster.

Billy Gunn gets the tag and Silver backs-up to the corner and tags Colt. Cabana and Billy lock-up and Gunn takes a headlock but gets shot off and he drops Colt with a shoulder. Billy then runs the ropes and leaps over Colt but Cabana kicks him. Colt looks for a splash in the corner but Billy catches and slams him. Austin tags back in but Colt hits him and tags Ten.

Colt distracts the referee, allowing Silver to kick Austin and Ten hits a spinebuster. Ten taunts Billy Gunn and Cody on the apron, then hits a pump kick to Austin. Ten puts Austin in the corner and beats on him. Ten makes a tag to John Silver as we head to the final break of the night.

*Commercial Break*

Back live and Austin fights free from the Dark Order corner but gets slammed back into it by Ten. Billy gets the tag and Gunn runs roughshod over Dark Order. Billy splashes Ten in the corner, then looks for a powerbomb but Colt gets on the apron only for Billy to knock him off. Billy hits Ten with a Fame-Asser, then Cody storms the ring to drop Silver and jump off the top to Colt at ringside.

Ten and Silver team to hit a cutter to Billy for a near-fall. Silver hits a suicide dive to Cody but Rhodes catches and throws Silver over the guard rail. Meanwhile, Billy kicks Ten away and tags Austin. Colt runs in but Austin hits a neckbreaker, then one to Ten and the babyfaces score the big win.

Winners: Cody & Gunn Club

After the match the Dark Order surround the ring. Silver looks to sneak behind Cody and Co., but Orange Cassidy runs down and hits him with Orange Punch before walking off. Cody grabs a microphone and says he doesn’t like telling stories that aren’t true. His opponent at AEW Full Gear is telling everyone that TNT doesn’t want him as the face of the company. That he’s too reckless and unconventional.

Cody says TNT would love having someone as talented as Darby as Champion. And he would too if circumstances were different. Hell, he was the one who got Darby the job. He says the executives weren’t sure about him, so he had to wrestle him himself. Cody says he is the guy who left the empire, fought the war and won and Darby should be intimidated. He says Darby wants the TNT Championship, wants to be the face of the company, but he’s not the ace of AEW.

That’s it for this week’s AEW Dynamite. This Saturday night is the Full Gear PPV and we’ll have live coverage right here. Until then, stay safe.
