Steve Austin wrestled a ton of matches during his career. It’s impossible to remember all of them, and that recently happened to the Rattlesnake himself.

80’s Wrestling, a popular Twitter account in the Internet Wrestling Community shared a photo of Steve Austin taking on Junk Yard Dog. The account shared two incredibly rare photos as well.

Austin saw the tweet because they tagged him. He answered back and had little recollection of that match. “I cannot remember where that is from. Maybe Memphis territory,” he responded on Twitter.

The 80’s Wrestling account responded to Austin and said: “it was WCW Bunkhouse Brawl Match in NY!” Austin wanted to know what venue they were in, and he got another answer in reply.

March 31st 1992. It was you & Zbyszko vs. Barry Windham and JYD at The Meadowlands Arena in NJ!

The Rattlesnake replied back saying: “I’ll be damned, thanks!” It’s a good thing record books and other resources exist or some people wouldn’t remember a lot of things, Steve Austin included.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
