Aleister Black is a former NXT Champion, but he has yet to find that top spot on the main roster. He recently went through a bit of a character change, and a move to SmackDown thanks to the 2020 WWE Draft could help things out even more.

Black received new entrance recently, and he promised Sports Illustrated that fans haven’t seen the final version yet. They will add more to his presentation as time goes along.

The master of the Black Mass also took the opportunity to discuss his new character direction in the company. He wants to establish a new aesthetic because the intention of his character has always been to generate a response.

“Initially, I want to establish this character. I want to establish this entrance, I want to establish this aesthetic. I want people to understand this character to the fullest extent. My character has always been designed to generate a response. I want this character to be a fundamental piece within the WWE universe that is understood and can move forward on this chessboard, and eventually get to the point where we have title matches. If those title matches somehow fail, then what is the consequence? Then what happens? I don’t want to do this for a while, then do that for a while. I want there to be multiple outros and intros for any type of storyline where I get involved.”

WWE history is full of iconic figures like HBK, The Rock, The Undertaker, Stone Cold, and so many more. Perhaps one day a list like that won’t feel complete unless Aleister Black’s name is included as well. His mission is to create a character that stands as another tentpole for WWE to build around for years to come.
