AEW received an extension from WarnerMedia, and that will come with another hour program. Cody Rhodes made it clear that AEW is not adding another hour to Dynamite, but they will have a new show coming on a different network.

TV Insider recently spoke to Cody Rhodes about the new AEW program that is coming soon. He said that there is a reason why AEW is signing new talent. They will soon have an extra hour of programming to fill separate from Dynamite.

“We have to move from novelty to commodity. One thing we’ve continued to do is recruit. People wonder why we’re recruiting when we only have this two-hour bullseye to hit. We know that this third hour is going to present itself soon. And I don’t mean a third hour of Dynamite. I mean a separate hour on a WarnerMedia network. We’ll be able to diversify and freshen up the content on a regular basis.”

Cody Rhodes also made it clear that the new AEW show isn’t AEW Dark. That show will likely continue on YouTube for as long as they want it to. There are a lot of plans in the pipeline for AEW. The pandemic certainly didn’t help speed up the process, but they’re not stopping either.
