Now that Mustafa Ali is seemingly the leader of Retribution, we can expect a very sharp change in his character over the course of the next few weeks and months.

Alas, many fans will still remember when he was riding high as a potential challenger for the WWE Championship back in early 2019 heading into the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

After he got hurt and was unable to compete in the bout, he was replaced by Kofi Kingston who went on to WrestleMania where he finally won his first world title in WWE.

As you can probably imagine Ali hasn’t forgotten about that, and it’ll be interesting to see what kind of dynamic starts to build between the two men now that they’re both on the same brand.
