The Rock Looks Back On When WWE SmackDown Was ‘Lit’

The whole concept behind SmackDown actually becoming a show stems from the one and only Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson coining the phrase all those years ago.

As such, it only made sense for The Great One to carry the torch for the blue brand through the early stages of the show – and what a tremendous job he did.

SmackDown became must watch TV pretty quickly, and Johnson himself recognizes that.

Nowadays we’re seeing SmackDown thrive for very different reasons with The Rock’s cousin Roman Reigns serving as the guiding light for Team Blue after capturing the Universal Championship.

Many believe that his story is destined to end with a family showdown between Reigns and Rock at WrestleMania 37 in Los Angeles, but for now, the WWE Universe simply wants to sit back and see what Roman is capable of in his new heel persona.
