While Tony Khan may be doing a fantastic job with All Elite Wrestling, things aren’t going quite as smoothly for Fulham over in the English Premier League.

The Cottagers have made a poor start to the new campaign with three losses from their first three games to leave them bottom of the table – and even at such an early stage, many fans believe the club is destined to get relegated back down to the Championship at the very first attempt.

They suffered a 3-0 loss to Aston Villa last night which prompted Khan to apologize over social media as he continues to try and bring in defensive reinforcements during the current transfer window.

I apologize to @FulhamFC supporters for our performance tonight. We’ve looked to add centre-backs since Wembley, I’m sorry we haven’t yet as 2 got COVID + we lost a Free we thought was close + had another issue with a 4th CB. I promise players in + better efforts from this squad.

While absolutely nothing I can say would make up for tonight’s performance, frankly we would’ve absolutely killed to be a yo-yo club when I took it over after finishing 20th in the Championship.

Or we can wait for people to hopefully fully recover from COVID.

A parade of neutrals and pundits alike called Khan out for using Twitter as a way to explain his transfer policy, mainly because actions speak louder than words, but also because it leaves the current crop of defenders in a difficult position.
