WWE will sometimes decide to drop a push for any given reason. Sometimes multiple reasons play into that decision.

Indus Sher appeared to be getting a big push in WWE’s NXT brand. They were paired with Malcolm Bivens, one of the best talkers in the Performance Center. Then they disappeared from television after a few weeks of being an imposing threat.

Rinku & Saurav were doing well until Saurav posted photo spoiling Keith Lee’s double NXT & North American Title win. During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer didn’t explicitly mention that social media faux pas, but he did say NXT decided to drop their push.

“They just decided to not go any further with them I guess. They started and stopped.”

It was also noted that they “weren’t all that impressive,” but in “another era” they would have done very well. A Superstar needs far more than just size to make it in pro wrestling today.

The possible heat from revealing Keith Lee’s big Great American Bash win wasn’t mentioned, but it could have always played a factor in things as well.
