WWE NXT saw a lot of absent Superstars this week, but not all of them were gone for COVID-19 related issues.

Bobby Fish was missing from NXT this week. He wasn’t featured in a match and Fish also didn’t come out to congratulate Kyle O’Reilly with the rest of his Undisputed Era brothers at the end of the night.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Bobby Fish was not absent from the tapings for any COVID-19 related reason. It is said that Fish suffered a “minor knee injury training kickboxing and BJJ.”

It wasn’t noted how long this minor injury will keep Bobby Fish out of action. Hopefully, this is the kind of issue that will get better with some time off.

There were several positive COVID-19 test results in NXT. The exact number is being kept under wraps, but the positive tests did go to change the brand’s booking into TakeOver.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
