FTR Have Spoken To Tony Khan About Wrestling Teams Outside AEW

AEW has a loaded tag team division, but there are also other great teams outside of the company. FTR wants to prove that they are the greatest tag team working in the world today so that might mean they have to prove it.

FTR and The North proposed series of matches. Impact Wrestling seemed to be down with the idea. It’s all up to Tony Khan and AEW at this juncture. This is apparently a real possibility that FTR has spoken to Khan about.

While talking with Bodyslam.net, Dax Harwood said that they have spoken to Tony Khan about facing teams like The North and Motor City Machine Guns. There are a plethora of teams outside of AEW that they would like to take on as well.

“Just today there was a  tweet about us and Motor City Machine Guns and we get those all the time but today I made mention of it [to Tony Kahn] so we’ve spoken about it. I would love to [work with them]. I mean if we’re going to go down as the greatest tag team of all time we need to work with the greatest and they are one of the greatest and we need to beat them to be the greatest.”

“You have the North that everyone wants us to work with. Josh Alexander and Ethan Page. The Dawsons. James Storm and Eli Drake, the NWA Tag Team Champions, Tama and T. We want to work with all those guys.”

“I’ve heard of [the Koloff Dynasty] who has Nikita [Koloff] in their corner, but Nikita is a shell of his former self and he doesn’t want any part of Tully. Tully even at 65 will handle Nikita easy.” 

AEW proved by having NWA Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa on their programming that it’s not impossible for them to work with other organizations. We’ll just have to see what they can arrange. It might be a tricky game of politics, but the results could be well worth it.
