WWE Announces Title Match For NXT TakeOver

The next NXT TakeOver event is going down on October 4th. Fans will see two matches booked on NXT tonight, but they announced another match this afternoon.

NXT North American Champion Damian Priest will put his title on the line at TakeOver against Johnny Gargano. This is a match that William Regal booked as he tweeted out:

One of @WWENXT’s rising stars vs. arguably the most consistent performer on the black and gold brand. In his first #NXTTakeOver defense, @ArcherOfInfamy will defend the #WWENXT North American Title against @JohnnyGargano.

A women’s battle royal will take place tonight to determine who will face Io Shirai for her NXT Women’s Title at TakeOver.

Also, Kyle O’Reilly, Bronson Reed, KUSHIDA, Cameron Grimes, and Timothy Thatcher will compete in a Gauntlet Eliminator match to determine Finn Balor’s opponent for the NXT Title. Those matches will both go down tonight.
