WWE started the Retribution faction after Vince McMahon came up with the idea “on a whim.” Now fans are seeing things evolve on a weekly basis.

Ringside News exclusively reported WWE’s early plans as they laid everything out. It was weekly task of figuring things out. There were six members planned, but then that number went down to five. Mojo Rawley was also as part of the stable for a week, but he was then taken out.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there are still plans to keep five members in the Raw exclusive stable. Those five members are: Dominik Dijakovic, Shane Thorne, former Raw announcer Dio Maddin, Mercedes Martinez and Mia Yim.

It was also noted that their disgruntled angle will continue as the crux to explain why they turned against the company.

On Raw they cut a promo where they made it clear they were disgruntled talent who had been at the Performance Center who felt they hadn’t been given a fair chance. As noted last week, the decision has been made to only do this angle on Raw

WWE could keep teasing the Retribution angle and it might be possible to see Survivor Series as a big blow-off opportunity. They’re going to need to continue stalling in a big way to stretch things out that far.

You never know what can happen in WWE as Vince McMahon is now in the middle of another big idea that he seemingly started without any real destination in mind.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
