WWE’s next pay-per-view event will be Clash Of Champions on September 27th. Only two official matches have been announced for the card as of this writing, but many more are expected.
Clash Of Champions is promoted as the only events of the year where every title on the WWE main roster is promised to be defended. So far they have only officially confirmed the two top singles title matches for the men.
It’s unclear who will take on certain champions. Bobby Lashley’s opponent for the US Title could go to multiple people. It’s also possible that the All Mighty will end up in a triple threat match of some kind. The same is true for Jeff Hardy’s IC Title.
Asuka’s situation is also interesting as she is feuding with Natalya and Lana. The idea of placing Nattie in a RAW Women’s Title match has been out there for a while. There was a time when she was supposed to receive that match at SummerSlam.
The men’s Tag Team Titles are also a very interesting situation. Neither team has opponents for Clash Of Champions. Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro showing up on RAW seemed to provide a chance for a champion vs champion match at Clash Of Champions as well, but next time it could be for the titles in a winner take all situation.
WWE will likely add plenty more matches to the card to clear up all of our questions. It could come as early as SmackDown tonight. You can check out the projected card below.
