The majority of pro wrestlers that we all know and love in WWE, NJPW and AEW first had to make their way through the independent wrestling scene before making it to the big time.
Indy wrestling has provided us with many great moments over the years regardless of the promotion, and hopefully, that trend will continue long into the future.
One man who wants to try and ensure that happens is WWE superstar Shelton Benjamin. The Hurt Business member sent out a tweet to implore fans to support indie wrestling during this difficult time.

The COVID-19 pandemic has obviously been detrimental to the growth and sustainability of indie wrestling, but now, it finally seems as if a corner is starting to be turned.
If the likes of WWE, AEW and New Japan can lend a helping hand to some of these struggling promotions, then perhaps they can start to thrive again sooner than most of us expected.
