WWE is preparing for a big week ahead of them. Monday’s RAW will be the final time WWE will air a taped show from the Performance Center during this era of pandemic shows. They will go to the Amway Center for SmackDown and then continue in the Orlando arena until at least October with zero live fans.

During Friday Night SmackDown this week (click here for full coverage of that episode), a feud between AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy was started. This rivalry wrapped around the Intercontinental Title will see those two battle next week. They didn’t have a lot of time to build toward a match.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy were supposed to start their rivalry weeks ago. He said “that was one of the things that he erased from the show so he’s a little late on starting this thing.”

WWE circled back around to the Hardy vs Styles idea and now they will battle during SmackDown in the Amway Center. It’s unclear if Joseph Parks will remain part of that angle, but we remain hopeful that he will be back.
