WWE 2K Battlegrounds is coming on September 18th. This will be a much different type of WWE video game as arcade style combat will come back to a WWE home console franchise. Now we have a full roster.
2K has leaked some roster reveals over the weeks. IGN received the full list and some of your favorites are going to be available as playable characters. There are a ton of names available at launch and another wave is coming after the game drops as post-launch downloadable characters.
They will offer 70 playable character for fans. WWE 2K Battlegrounds will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Stadia. That will be a nice treat for Switch owners as they haven’t seen the last 2K releases because WWE 2K18 was a train-wreck on the Nintendo system.
Below you can find the roster that will be made available upon the game’s September 18th release.
Andre The Giant
Edge (Pre-order bonus)
Jake “The Snake” Roberts
Stone Cold Steve Austin
The post release roster will be made available for download at a later date. They could have multiple release dates in mind for these new roster additions, but that is unclear at this time. It was noted on the graphic from 2K that they are also subject to change.
Big Boss Man
Bret “Hit Man” Hart
Doink The Clown
“Macho Man” Randy Savage
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper
The Brian Kendrick
WWE Battlegrounds could be the revival that WWE video games are needing. WWE 2K20 didn’t leave a lot of gamers very happy. 2K Battlegrounds is going a totally different direction in hopes of delivering, and they have a packed roster which certainly helps.
