Matt Riddle Says He Kicked Down The Door To The House AJ Styles Built

Matt Riddle started on SmackDown, and the company put a big push behind him. He defeated AJ Styles in his debut match, but it wasn’t for the IC Title. Riddle still saw that as a great way to start his time on the main roster.

Riddle is currently engaged in a feud with King Corbin. You can never rule out the possibility of Riddle coming back around to challenge AJ Styles for his title.

During his time on WWE The Bump, Matt Riddle talked about his debut on SmackDown and his transition from NXT so far. It’s been pretty sweet for him so far as he kicked down the door to the house that AJ Styles built.

“What can I say? I had my SmackDown de-butt wrestling AJ Styles, the Phenomenal One. This is the house AJ built and I went in there and kicked down the door day one. So honestly, the transition to SmackDown has been pretty sweet. It’s been pretty cool.”

Matt Riddle has yet to enjoy a WWE main roster house show loop, but those might be a thing of the past. Right now he’s lighting up the Performance Center, but he’ll be around for the long haul as he continues to take every opportunity he can and make the most of it.
