The pro wrestling world was excited about the possibility that another second generation star could be stepping into the ring. Rick Steiner’s son Bronson Rechsteiner decided to choose pro football instead.

Rechsteiner decided to go into pro football and he was signed to the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens. His time with the team was short-lived as ESPN’s Jamison Hensely reports that Rechsteiner has been released.

Bronson Rechsteiner signed a deal with the Ravens in April of this year. He was let go on Monday, but his story is far from over.

Rechsteiner already expressed interest in going into pro wrestling following his career on the gridiron. Now he might have that opportunity sooner than he expected.
