Apollo Crews did not wrestle during the Horror Show at Extreme Rules because of a situation involving the coronavirus. It was not 100% confirmed that he has tested positive, but that information is not disclosed by WWE. There is more to the story.

During the Horror Show, MVP stated that he is the new United States Champion. He said Apollo had to forfeit the match, but that’s not the case. Apollo wasn’t even on the Performance Center grounds that day.

Mike Johnson confirmed on PW Insider Elite audio that despite Michael Cole saying that Crews failed his pre-show medical evaluation that’s not the case. Crews didn’t even show up that day. It was also reported that Superstars who worked the show were told that Apollo Crews was not cleared to compete.

We’re wishing Apollo Crews the best. If he really has COVID-19, hopefully he will get the green light to return very soon after beating the virus.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
