Likely Matches For WWE SummerSlam 2020 So Far

WWE has a lot of ground to cover before SummerSlam. August 23rd will be here before we know it, and the only thing we know for certain is the event will take place in the WWE Performance Center.

We previously reported that it seems Matt Riddle is getting a shot at AJ Styles’ Intercontinental Championship at the biggest party of the summer. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter listed a few other matches that could be expected.

The New Day defended their SmackDown Tag Team Titles against Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro this week, but that match had no real finish. The referee called for the bell when a brawl broke loose. Those two teams aren’t booked for Extreme Rules, so a SummerSlam collision is likely.

The Street Profits are also likely to tangle with Andrade and Angel Garza at SummerSlam. Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt’s big blow-off match is also likely for the biggest party of the summer. Ringside News exclusively reported months ago that they will have a multi-match feud.

It was also previously reported that WWE is considering a WWE Title match between Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton.
