A few months back, the pro wrestling world was sent into a state of shock when dozens of superstars were released by WWE as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many fans were quick to speculate as to what they might end up doing next. With non-compete clauses set to expire in less than two weeks, we’ll get the answer to that question sooner rather than later.
One man who many will be keeping an eye on is none other than Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder.

Cardona seems to have kept himself in great shape during lockdown, with the expectation being that he will end up signing for either IMPACT or All Elite Wrestling.
Cody Rhodes said that Cardona will get over again following his WWE release. Rhodes and Cardona are good friends in real life.
Either way, though, Matt Cardona right in what he’s saying – and we’re not so sure the pro wrestling world is ready for the change that is coming.
