Chris Jericho is a very influential person, even if he’s not Le Champion at the time. Sometimes all it takes is a phone call from Y2J to get the ball rolling in an unexpected direction as well.

Jericho keeps his famous friends no secret. He often fills his podcast with notable names. He also called a few of those people about All Elite Wrestling.

Y2J recently stated on Talk Is Jericho that he brought five big names to AEW. All in all, Jericho says he has a “pretty good f*cking track record,” and we have to agree.

I brought in five guys here: [Jon] Moxley, Dean Malenko, Matt Hardy, Jake Hager and you. That’s it. That’s a pretty good f*cking track record. It’s not like, ‘oh here’s so and so that’s been on TV once and just sits backstage and eats catering.’ That’s not what you would want or I would want.

Chris Jericho will battle Orange Cassidy at Fyter Fest next week. Freshly Squeezed might not have been a Jericho pick for AEW, but he obviously wanted to work with him.

We’ll have to see who else Chris Jericho might be able to talk into joining AEW in the future. He likely still has plenty of famous friends on speed dial.
