Roman Reigns is still training every day for his WWE return. He can’t wait to get back into the squared circle and smash some heads. He has more important things to take care of at the moment.

Reigns recently spoke to The Hindu about his decision to stay home during the pandemic. He can’t trust that every Superstar is doing what they can to stop the spread of COVID-19. This is not a chance Roman Reigns is willing to make anymore.

The Big Dog has twin babies at home. His life is controlled by their schedule, but it gets him up in plenty of time so he can take on the day “bright-eyed and ready to go.” All in all, he considers it a blessing.

“It’s been tough… it is hard to get two babies coordinated and on the same schedule, so that they don’t keep you up all night! They seem to have this little trick they like to play at about 6.30 in the morning, that is when I really wake up bright-eyed and ready to go… but it has been great. It has been a great blessing to have two more additions, and to be able to expand our family tree.”

WWE is operating under a new normal with COVID-19 prior to every taping. There is also more tension backstage than there has been for a very long time. A locker room leader like Roman Reigns is certainly missed in WWE, but he’s not coming back until he is certain that the COVID-19 pandemic can’t find its way back to his home.

At this point, Roman Reigns’ name is still not being spoken backstage. There are no plans for his return, but many remain hopeful that his hiatus won’t last too much longer.
