WWE Backstage was cancelled by FS1. The decision was made to cut the show following FS1 cleaning house due to slimming down their original content.

FS1 was giving WWE a lot of focus on Tuesday nights. They were airing WWE documentaries and pay-per-view events at 7:00 PM EST as a lead-in for WWE Backstage. There is good news for fans who enjoyed seeing that type of programming on FS1.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that FS1 will continue to run WWE programming in prime time despite WWE Backstage’s cancellation. This will give fans more opportunities to tune in on Tuesday nights for WWE action, but it won’t be followed by a talk show anymore.

We’ll have to see if WWE Backstage is ever revived. They could always circle back to the idea once programming gets back to normal. A lot of things need to happen before that can take place.
