WWE made plans for this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The novel coronavirus has caused a huge problem for the company yet again.

An Intercontinental Title match between AJ Styles and Drew Gulak was promoted for the show this week. A “Toast for Jeff Hardy” was also supposed to be hosted by Sheamus. Those two segments were expected for SmackDown this week, but now WWE is advertising something completely different.

WWE is only promoting a Tribute To The Undertaker for SmackDown this week. It’s not clear how long this tribute will be. The Boneyard Match alone is over 30 minutes in length. As of this writing, the Tribute To The Undertaker is the only segment advertised for SmackDown this week on the company’s official preview.

The special “Tribute To The Undertaker”  will include the first television airing of the astonishing Boneyard Match between The Dead Man and AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36.

WWE promoted an IC Title match and a segment with the Celtic Warrior for this week. Now they only have a retrospective package for The Deadman confirmed.

Multiple positive COVID-19 tests were discovered within the company. Those positive tests spanned throughout the roster, staff, and production.

Reports are we could be talking about up to a couple dozen people. Renee Young, Kayla Braxton, and Adam Pearce are all people whose job it is to walk around backstage and talk to people. They all tested positive for COVID-19. Braxton tested positive for the second time.

Ringside News can confirm that as of yesterday, the company was still planning for television tapings on Friday and Saturday. It is possible we could still see an IC Title match and a Sheamus segment. Nothing is for sure right now as the atmosphere is still chaotic, confusing, and full of more questions than answers.

Right now the only thing they seem to have promised is a Tribute To The Undertaker. This will include the world television premiere of the 35-minute long Boneyard Match.

We will have more for you right here at Ringside News as soon as possible.
