Michael Elgin Makes Public Statement Following Departure From Impact Wresting

Michael Elgin was suspended from Impact Wrestling following accusations that came out about him as part of the #SpeakingOut movement. It was later confirmed that Elgin will not be appearing for the company again.

Elgin released a public statement on the matter. He did not acknowledge any of the accusations against him. He stated his hope that things will be “sorted” soon following his praise of Impact Wrestling and their crew. He then admitted that the silver lining is the fact that he will get to spend more time with his son.

I appreciate the time and opportunities given to me with Impact. That locker room, the film crew and all the company officials were a pleasure to be associated with. I hope that in time things get sorted.

For now I have to look at the bright side, I have more time to spend with my son and reclaim time that has been missed.

Michael Elgin and Sami Callihan were also in backstage altercation during the last Impact Wrestling television tapings as well. It is very likely that the #SpeakingOut movement allegations had much more to do with Impact’s decision to separate themselves from Elgin.
