Charlotte Flair was written off television this week during WWE RAW. The reason for her hiatus was reportedly an elective surgery, but she might not be back as soon as previously reported.

A source in the company noted to Talk Sport that “There’s a 0 percent chance Charlotte returns for SummerSlam.”

Sources also indicate that Flair will be out of action for far longer than the reported six weeks. She could be out until 2021 after taking an “extended break.”

Sources have told talkSPORT that Flair will be taking an extended break from WWE. The 34-year-old has been a constant on the show for years now and she is going to be taking some personal time and having some surgery.

It is further reported that Charlotte Flair could return at the Royal Rumble event. This leaves a very large gap in the women’s division. The reported SummerSlam plan from Dave Meltzer was Nia Jax vs Asuka vs Charlotte Flair. That doesn’t look possible now.
