Zack Ryder was one of many WWE Superstars who were released on April 15th. Now he has filed new trademarks that could clue us in on some big plans he has.

Recent copyright findings show that Ryder filed for two separate names under his real name Matt Cardona. Those filings are for “Major Wrestling Federation” and “MWF.”

The new copyright filings are explicitly noted to pertain to “Entertainment services, namely, providing podcasts in the field of action figures and professional wrestling; Entertainment services, namely, providing video podcasts in the field of action figures and professional wrestling; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network.”

It doesn’t look like he’s opening a new company, but Cardona does plan to use those names in other ways.

Cardona hit the ground running after his release from WWE. He opened up a Pro Wrestling Tees shirt and contacted a band about getting new entrance music. He might have commissioned Downstait to do his entrance music as well. They are the same band who did his “Radio” music in WWE. Click here to see teaser of them in studio.

The former Zack Ryder recently stated that he “loves being fired.” He has much more freedom now and can express his character in his own way. It appears that the big moves on Matt Cardona’s part are just beginning. Fans will likely know what the Major Wrestling Federation is all about soon enough.
