SHOCKING Difference In How Indie Wrestling Is Dealing With Social Distancing

Pro wrestling is slowly starting to open back up, but it won’t be shoulder to shoulder like it was in the past. Now social distancing must be taken into consideration.

The Wrld On GCW event went down today and they had a very unique setup for the show, but it might become all too common. Hand sanitizer stations were set up on the grounds and seats were set up with social distancing in mind as well. The ring ropes and turnbuckles are also set to be cleaned after every match.

– 4 Multi-Outlet Santizer Stations
– Sanitize ropes & turnbuckles between every match
– Masks at the door

We are using a staggered Social Distance Seating Chart

– Ringside Seating at 50%
– Groups limited to 2 or 4 based on “household” purchase

Game Changer Wrestling has a loaded event as well. Names scheduled to be on the show include Nick Gage, Effy, Alley Kat, Nate Webb and more.

As we previously reported, AJ Gray experienced car accident on the way to the event, but he made it far enough that he should be on the show.

On the other extreme of things, IWA Mid South held a sold-out wrestling event with no social distancing held at all. The images from that show are pretty shocking to see how they are ignoring absolutely every safety warning.

One concerned fan tweeted out: “State Health Inspector take a look at this @IWAMidSouth show going on right now in Indianapolis. How is this even legal? Really a danger hazard with no masks, no distancing, & no capacity limit. As a pro wrestling fan, this needs to be outed b/c it makes the product look bad.”
