WWE Seemingly Dropped Shayna Baszler To Push Nia Jax As Only Heel On RAW

Shayna Baszler entered the main roster from NXT and plenty of fans were excited. They concocted dream matches in their heads, but then Baszler all but vanished after a run through WrestleMania 36.

Baszler has taken an opportunity to sling shade at Becky Lynch’s pregnancy. She actual took the opportunity to diss Lynch for getting pregnant at the height of her career a couple of times.

Nia Jax did not win the RAW Women’s Title at Backlash as the match ended in double count out. Then she lost on RAW the next night thanks to a fast count from referee John Cone. Shayna Baszler wasn’t heard from at all during that time.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained WWE’s reason for not having Nia Jax lose. At this point, she seems to be the only heel on the RAW women’s division as Shayna Baszler has totally gone away.

“Well, the idea was that they’re trying to protect Nia for whatever reason. I think that maybe she’s gonna be the only heel because Shayna has disappeared.”

There is no real reason as to why Shayna Baszler has disappeared. Vince McMahon seems to have cooled off on pushing her. Perhaps he was bummed that vampire gimmick didn’t fly in 2020.

Shayna Baszler was also huge Paul Heyman project. That might play into things as well.

Baszler was set to win the Royal Rumble and Money In The Bank, but McMahon changed those plans. Now The Queen Of Spades has all but disappeared. At least Nia Jax is still on television.
