WWE brought a very newsworthy episode of Raw this week. They were able to pull a much larger audience thanks to the post Backlash angles.

Showbuzz Daily reports that WWE Monday Night Raw brought an overnight three-hour average of 1.939 million fans. This is up from last week’s viewership number by a considerable amount.

Last week’s overnight average was 1.737 million fans. Hour one had 1.827 million viewers, hour two received 1,790 million viewers, and hour three garnered 1.595 million viewers.

This show also received a ton of hype this week. Christian’s return was teased as well as the post Backlash stories. The fact that live fans were actually in the building might have increased interest as well.

We will have to see if they can keep up this momentum. A lot of things are still set to change about WWE programming in the next few weeks as they settle in to their new backstage system.
