NJPW is opening their doors after a long hiatus due to COVID-19. Unlike WWE, they are requiring fans to wear masks to their events.

After a long break, New Japan Pro Wrestling announced a new schedule of shows. They started running those events today.

NJPW has now announced four more events as part of their July schedule. Now they will have dates on July 20th, 25th, 27th, and 31st. This is great news because it shows confidence that they can continue planning future shows.

The promotion will return to

  • July 20th – Korakuen Hall in Tokyo for a New Japan Road even
  • July 25th – Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium in Nagoya
  • July 27 – Summer Struggle – Korakuen Hall
  • July 31st – Summer Struggle – Korakuen Hall

Fans will be permitted to attend all of the recently announced shows. The company will run at a reduced capacity with strict measures in place to minimize the risk of COVID-19.

Japan and the USA handled the novel coronavirus in very different ways. We will have to see who had the best procedure as some experts fear a second wave could be even more devastating for America.
