Tessa Blanchard won the Impact World Title which was a historic event. Then she was stuck in Mexico due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was revealed that Impact Wrestling will make an announcement next week regarding Tessa Blanchard’s status. Fightful reports that Blanchard will be at Slammiversary and she will be defending that title.

They’ve set Tessa Blanchard, Michael Elgin, Trey Miguel, Ace Austin and Eddie Edwards for a title match for the show.

It was also reported that the idea of unifying Moose’s TNA Title and Blanchard’s Impact World Title “are not in the cards.” They could circle back around to that idea. Right now the TNA brand might be too popular to let go of right now.

Tessa Blanchard will be back, just not so soon. She didn’t make it to the round of television tapings that are currently airing. She will be back by Slammiversary on July 18th.
