WWE Friday Night SmackDown included referee bump that resulted in them cutting to commercial. When the program resumed, Michael Cole told fans the referee was injured and replaced. It turns out he’s okay.

PW Insider reports that that referee Danilo Anfibio is okay. He was replaced by Jessika Carr in the match, but it was a totally worked spot.
The update is this – there was no injury. It was a worked deal designed to add a different, unique cliffhanger leading into a commercial break, nothing more. Anfibio is not really injured
WWE really pulled one over on fans. They are creating more cynical fans with this kind of booking, but at least it got people talking.
