Matt Riddle is now on SmackDown, but he almost had a WWE Hall Of Famer manager. Kurt Angle turned down the gig, but Riddle didn’t know anything about it.

Vicente Beltrán of ViBe & Wrestling recently spoke to the Original Bro. Kurt Angle rejecting a position as his manager came up in the conversation, but he was unaware of it until after the fact. At least Kurt Angle was able to explain to him why he didn’t take the job.

“To be honest I didn’t know anything because I’m always a bit in the dark every time I go to work. No one told me but Kurt and I did talk and I analyzed it and he also said that I could not do it because now he has another company on his hands, he is working outside the company and it will be like that for a while because he does not want to fail and he wants to have his mind only on that.”

Riddle went on to say that he really doesn’t need a mouthpiece. He’s pretty good at speaking his mind as well. Matt Riddle also has a very unique character with a delivery to match.

In the end, it might have been fun to see Angle and Riddle paired up on-screen, but it certainly isn’t necessary.
